Milano’s Copper Hood

Filed under: Projects, metal work, restaurant

This is an older project (about a year), but we just found images on our camera card and figured it may be cool to share…since this is what our blog is about…sharing our stuff with you. Oh, man does that sound sappy, but seriously, we have this blog to show off our work. This image is not on our website so, here is as good a place as any, aye? It is, just as the title suggests, a hood made of cooper for Milano’s Italian Restaurant. Enjoy!

Own a TORK Original

Well, folks, we here at TORK have been doing some spring cleaning and we found that we still have some of our very first pieces done under the TORK name hiding in our attic. The TORK ULO (Unidentified Lighted Object), was the first collaboration between Tony and Mark, the founders of the company. The light has long been out of production, but we’re making the stock we found available to all interested people. So, if you’re so inclined, you can own a piece of TORK history. We’ll have separate permanent page on this blog where there are more images and we will be selling these gems.

What Another Update…2 In One Day!

Yes, we’re feeling pretty frisky here, so here’s another post. These images are of a set of metal logs which will be going to some restaurant on their patio. They will be placing a propane burner in the center to create the effect of a burning log pile. The images are of the unpainted product, the finished product was painted with a high heat matte black paint. Now, I have to apologize because I was pretty sure I had captured a photo of the finished product, but it was only in my head that that happened, so….sorry. We’ll see if we can get an image of them after install (which we’re not doing, so I can’t make any promises)

uuummm....a front view....if there is such a thing on a cirlce of logs

Close up of said log pile

April – May Update & Such

It’s been slow in this transitional period from winter into spring, as it is with most businesses this time of year. We continue doing our short run production in the Casting & Mold Making Dept. Some of the things we’re working on are casting some Jesus pieces for Mazzolini Artcraft in Cleveland, Ohio. Peep the thumb below.

White resin Jesus casting (to be painted by the fine folks at Mazzolini)

We are also casting a metal and resin award for a CCAD (Columbus College of Art & Design) awards ceremony. I’ll get images of that up when we finish.

That’s it for now. We are currently working on samples for some of other projects, look for those in future posts.
