Well, well, well….Here we are again with another fantastic update that will shake your world and cause grown men to cry, and women and children to scream in terror….wait, no that’s a horror movie trailer, I think. Sorry, lets start again and be more serious….Here we are once again with an update to our fine blog.

The following images are from our one of our last projects which we installed this past Friday. The project was for the Franklin Park Conservatory’s new bonsai area located on the second level outside. We did not design these pieces, only executed their fabrication. There were several Japanese style screens and three fountains. The three fountains are made of blue stone and copper and have screens made of aluminum and Lumicite secured behind them and are situated on an elevated platform and the other two screens, also aluminum and Lumicite, are on the opposite roof top just hanging out being cool visual pieces. Peep the pictures and enjoy.

The two opposite screens (no fountains) just being cool.

A Private Commission: Pelicans

Hello, folks! We’re back with a new update as to what is going on here at TORK HQ. The following images are of the pelican sculpture we are doing for a private client, this is the only place you will see this sculpture. These pictures are details of the pelicans themselves. They aren’t quite finished yet, we still have to rust them and add a plaque. The story behind the piece, in short, is that as a couple were saying their wedding vows, a flock of pelicans flew overhead. So, a friend/relative of the couple commissioned TORK to create the sculpture as a gift. The pelicans were drawn up by Tony in AutoCad and cut out in our shop. Mark bent the wings and did all of the welding and shaping of the support system, which is absent from these shots. I’ll get full shots of the sculpture when we have it completed, so please enjoy these images.

Hope you dig the images.

Also coming up in the next few weeks will be images from fountains and screens that we are working on in collaboration with the Franklin Park Conservatory for their new bonsai area.
