Wood County Hospital : Bowling Green, Ohio – Install

Well folks here are two of the best images we have right now. The hospital site is still under construction, so it was tough to get a good picture. We’ll go back after completion to snap some good pics, with all of the landscaping in place etc. So, please enjoy these. The tree is made of stainless steel and has resin leaves in a range of reds. Each canopy starts darker in the middle and gets lightest towards the center.

Here are a few more shots from our current project for Wood County Hospital. These images show the welds being ground and sanded flush, the surface of the tree is also sanded, this is all in preparation for the sandblasting, which is the next step, and will even out the finish on the surface of the tree. Then it’s all about attaching the resin leaves.

We can feel your excitement. Really. Even through the internet, we feel it…true story. We would like to thank all of you who have taken the time to stop by to see what we here at TORK Industrial ARTifacts, are up to. We appreciate your interest and curiosity. Thanks!!!

This is our current project  for the Healing Garden at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio.  This is another tree, similar to the one we did for Dublin Methodist Hospital, but a bit smaller to fit the space. It is made of stainless steel and will be sandblasted, just like the Tripoint Medical Center trees. The leaves will be resin, and the color spectrum will be reds, from deep red on the larger leaves to light red on the smaller. We’ll post images of those when we start attaching them. So,  please enjoy these progress pictures.

Well, well, well, what have we here? A shiny new post from the guys at TORK? Yes indeed, it is a brand spanking new post  and it’s got some cool photos.  We figured it was about time to take down the Happy New Year…it was either that or just leave it up for next year, since we’re so close now. But we have much to share with our friends. This post is covering the work we are currently doing for Tri-Point Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. We are doing several sculptures, this first set of images are of the three trees we are doing for the entrance of the hospital. The trees are different sizes, ranging from the large middle one to the smaller two that flank it. The trees were fabricated out of stainless steel and will have resin leaves making up the canopies. The images we are currently posting are of the process. They haven’t been installed yet, but will be very soon.  The other sculptures we are doing, and that will soon have pictures of, are sunflowers, a copper fountain, and a large aluminum baseball. Enjoy!

TORK Casting Division <Click here for the new blog

Hey, friends! Here at TORK we’ve put up a separate page to focus on the casting division. It is in the early stages and information is added on regular basis. There, clients will be able to see what is being done in that area of TORK, some projects are done in collaboration with the metal fabricating division,  so those will be posted on both blogs.  Please check the new blog often….eeerrr…check both often, updates will be coming in a more timely manner.

Sorry we haven’t been as active here in the past few months. It is currently in the slow season here at TORK, but we do have a few projects in the works. One is waiting approval and the other is a go. The one waiting is a steel dragon, not to dissimilar to the one we did for Molly Woo’s Asian Bistro here in Columbus, but this new one is for an Asian bistro up in the Cleveland area. The second thing we have in the sculpting process is a fish to be cast in bronze for a fountain here in Columbus, more details on that as we have them. In the resin casting department we’re still chugging full steam with the dolls,  they are keeping us quite busy and we could not  be happier. Maybe someday we’ll get to post images of the dolls we’re casting, we’re keeping lour fingers crossed. That’s about it for now.

We at TORK hope all of you have a safe and prosperous 2009.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what we’re up to, the TORK crew
