Well friends, here is our latest project, and we’re damn excited about this one. This tree is for the Mellow Mushroom restaurant chain. This one is heading to Germantown, Tennessee. They’re calling it the Mellow Mushroom Germantown tree, but here it’s referred to as the Trippy Tree. Why is that, you ask? It’ll all become more apparent and your mind blown, as the tree progresses to having the resin leaves attached. These are some progress photos of the tree, to let all of our friends know what is currently happening here at the TORK workshop. Did I mention we were excited about this tree….we are…E-X-C-I-T-E-D!!!

1. Being in a state of excitement; emotionally aroused; stirred.
2. Physics Being at an energy level higher than the ground state.
I think you get where I’m coming from here, no?
On to the details and photos.
The tree is made out of stainless steel (yes, just like the others before), but it’s shape is conducive to being able to stand up underneath it, since it’ll be placed on the patio. The leaves are what will make this tree trip inducing, if you will. They are crystal clear resin (zero color) with our exclusive color changing film inserted into the resin. So, depending on where you are standing/sitting, and what kind of light is hitting the canopies, the leaves will change color depending on your perspective. The color range is full spectrum, from warm (yellows, reds, oranges) to cool (blues and greens). This is the first time we have ever done this so you can see why we’re so geeked about getting to do this. This is why we love our job here at TORK. We hope you enjoy these progress photos, and keep your eyes on this blog for updates on this tree.
