So it would seem that since our last big post, nothing has been going on. Well, you would be right, and just as wrong. We’ve been prepping for two large projects and one production piece in the casting division. The first project is for a functional sculpture/gazebo for a children’s hospital in Detroit, Michigan. That one is a pretty good size. The second is a kinetic sculpture for Discovery Place in Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s a bit like COSI here in Columbus. We have already done one sculpture for them (which we sadly forgot to get pix of. We will next time we visit), they were a set of tree limbs suspended from the ceiling in the front window. The item we’ll be producing in our casting division, for a local company, will be OSU band figures which stand about 10″. Pictures for all of these will follow as we start production.
We are also currently casting reproductions of classic Pontiac Chieftain & Star Chief, from the years 1949 – 1955 in crystal clear. Pretty cool, will get pics up soon, but in the mean time enjoy the images from the web.’These aren’t ones we cast just images to show the pieces. All credit is given to the photographer when the information was available. Pictures of our castings will soon be available.
